Cape Coral continues to garner more accolades as a leading city for growth and new jobs. The city is also recognized as a perfect place for retirees. This seems a bit odd as these two recognitions appear to present opposite attributes

Cape Coral's population has increased by 10% since 2010, and the city's population is getting younger. In 1990, the Cape's average age was 62. Presently, the average age is 44. While we still add retirees to our population, we are adding working class population at a higher rate
