Cape Coral Economic Director Dana Brunett announced at a recent City Council Meeting that Taiwan company MobileMax Technologies, Inc. is moving forward with plans to expand into Cape Coral. The company, which manufactures and distributes cellular phones, GPS technology, and wi-fi routers plans on leasing space for its first location in the United States within the next few years.
According to Brunett, the company's Cape Coral location will generate 31 jobs over the next few years with an average salary of over $47,000 annually. There is also the possibility of maybe a new building and manufacturing jobs down the road to a tune of 200 jobs. Agreeing with Brunett, the council unanimously approved $1,500 per job incentive to be given to the company.
