NO, your experience will likely be quite different. As just one example, in many states it's standard for your closing to be handled by an attorney or escrow company. Not so in Southwest Florida, where a Title company will conduct the title search, prepare the deed and the HUD closing statement, and facilitate the closing....all at a much more reasonable cost.
There are a fair amount of Florida state fees for those buyers who purchase via a loan. But, for a cash buyer the closing costs will be under $500, regardless of purchase price. Additionally, standard real estate contracts can vary greatly from state to state, so don't expect to see the all same contract terms as what are commonly used in another state.
We often hear comments from out-of-state clients such as "well, that's a lot different than how it is done in (fill in state). All we can say is "When in Rome.....".
